Bitdefender just offered much more security and its quick system scan takes about 10 seconds to scan my SSD (though it only looks in certain locations). In summer that soon heats PC up when it is scanning SSD. I think I used defender for a while but didn't like its scans would chew 100% CPU every scan. If I scan my SSD it hits 100% CPU but I don't do that every day. when its not running a scan it normally uses no CPU and about 261mb of ram in idle.
I am not sure about Komodo, I use bitdefender but the total security version which includes a firewall as well. Apps being buggy doesn't surprise me at all, I have a niggle with Groove where I have to change a setting every day. I think I set it up a few weeks ago but all i use start menu for is turning PC off generally.
I don't use the start menu enough to look at weather app.
